ZF Marine Electronics has a fifty year history of bringing important engineering solutions to the marine industry. ZF ME pioneered the development of single lever controls and followed that in 1969 with a
revolutionary sequencing protection to safely allow rapid shifting from full ahead to full astern. In the 1980’s ZF ME introducted disc type propeller shaft brakes to provide maximum drive train protection and meet the heavy maneuvering demands of high performance workboats. With the
introduction of MicroCommander in 1987, ZF ME launced the industry’s first multi-station electronic system.
